Meet The Team

Our Lead Dentist Dr David Delac

David came to Beaumaris over 20 years ago with his University of Melbourne dentist qualification and a vision. He wanted to improve the overall dental health and wellbeing of the area, while also establishing a practice built on genuine relationships catering to Bayside families.

With this in mind, he has grown The Dental Family Beaumaris into the ethical, honest and popular Bayside family dentistry that it is today. A place where your optimal oral health can be maintained in an environment free of anxiety and fear.

In his own words, David explains the fundamental core principles he follows in his dentistry:

“I follow some fundamental core principles in my dental surgery in order to establish a special trust:

  • Practise high quality ethical dentistry with honesty and integrity.
  • Treat patients the way I would want to be treated – gently and with respect.

Once this trust is established, so many things can be achieved for your dental health.”

If David’s approach to modern dentistry and helping the community smile sounds appealing, why not get in touch to book a dental health appointment?

“The goal with every patient of mine is to build a relationship that is underpinned by trust. As a dentist, to have gained the trust of the patient is truly the greatest honour that I can receive and something that I cherish.”

Our Team

Dr Vincent Huynh

Dentist

Born and raised in Melbourne, I did my dental studies up at the Gold Coast at Griffith University. I qualified as a dentist in 2016 and have a special interest in complex wisdom teeth removal and complex root canal treatment. However, the key to optimum dental and general health is to maintain and prevent such complex treatments if possible and this forms the foundation of our dental practice. In my spare time I enjoy playing table tennis and badminton. I joined ‘The Dental Family Beaumaris’ in October 2020 and look forward to taking care of all your dental needs.

Lisa

Receptionist

I work part-time as the receptionist/office manager at ‘The Dental Family Beaumaris’ and I’ve worked with Dr Delac since 2014. I’m a qualified dental assistant with a Certificate IV in Health Management, with over 30 years experience in the dental industry. My previous roles include dental assisting, patient co-ordination, reception and practice management within a very large practice. I enjoy working in our wonderful, small team because we work so well together. Our friendly family environment allows for an excellent personalised patient experience. I gain great satisfaction helping patients with administrative and treatment queries. When not working I love spending time with my husband and granddaughter. I also take pleasure in riding my horse and competing at various agricultural and royal shows.

Maria R

Receptionist

I joined ‘The Dental Family Beaumaris’ in November 2020 and really enjoy being part of this great team. My role primarily is as a part time receptionist but I do help out in the treatment room when required. You’ll usually find me at the front desk to greet you. My husband is a dentist and we worked together in our own Practice for many years. He is now retiring, but I still have the drive to keep helping patients and wanted to join a practice with the same family-orientated values I hold dear. My association with the dental profession has spanned many years, including roles as a dental assistant, receptionist and practice manager in hospital clinics and private practice. I’ve seen the practice of dentistry change dramatically over the years, and it’s been rewarding and challenging to keep myself up to date with it. As part of the team at Beaumaris I’ve really enjoyed getting to know my new dental family. I’m excited to be a part of its growth into the future! On a personal note, I enjoy supporting family at sporting events, which has led to some amazing experiences both here and internationally.

Virginia

Dental Nurse

After obtaining my qualification at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne I worked overseas for 10 years before returning home. I then pursued further training to upgrade my skills before joining the team at Beaumaris, where I’ve remained for the last 20 years. My role is as a full-time dental nurse, in charge of infection control standards that we uphold at the Practice. I feel our team creates a welcoming and supportive environment, and it’s rewarding to know we provide quality care to people, many of whom I’ve known for years. I look forward to ‘The Dental Family Beaumaris’ growing as a vital part of the local community.

Maria V

Dental Nurse

I’m married with two children and have been a dental nurse for 32 years. I’ve worked part time at ‘The Dental Family Beaumaris’ since 2010. I’ve worked here so long because I know we practice ethical, high quality dentistry. I enjoy all aspects of my job, but the one thing that makes me get up in the morning and motivates me is the patient contact. I’m a people person and get great job satisfaction in helping people, particularly if they’re suffering with toothache and I can make a difference to their experience in the dental chair. Being Italian, I definitely enjoy a coffee… some might say I am addicted! I think my jokes are funny, although after working with Dr Delac for a long time he doesn’t necessarily agree! I love keeping fit with group fitness and cycling classes.

Rabea

Dental Nurse

I’m married with three children and work as a dental nurse at ‘The Dental Family Beaumaris’. I joined the Practice in 2016 and have 10 years dental nursing experience. I enjoy working as part of a really great team here and get a lot of satisfaction looking after patients and making them feel comfortable. I am shy by nature and prefer being behind the scenes organising things rather than front and centre at the front desk. One of my best things after a busy day is to relax in front of the TV with a favourite show.
