Meet The Team

Our Lead Dentist Dr David Delac

The Dental Family Beaumaris

“The goal with every patient of mine is to build a relationship that is underpinned by trust. As a dentist, to have gained the trust of the patient is truly the greatest honour that I can receive and something that I cherish.”

David, a University of Melbourne qualified dentist, brought his vision to Beaumaris over 20 years ago with the aim of enhancing the overall dental health and well-being of the community. He wanted to establish a practice built on genuine relationships catering to Bayside families.

With this in mind, he has grown The Dental Family Beaumaris into the ethical, honest and popular Bayside family dentistry it is today. A place where your optimal oral health can be maintained in a welcoming environment free of anxiety and fear.

In his own words, David explains the fundamental core principles he follows in his dentistry:

“I follow some fundamental core principles in my dental surgery in order to establish a special trust:

Practise high quality ethical dentistry with honesty and integrity.

Treat patients the way I would want to be treated – gently and with respect.

Once this trust is established, so many things can be achieved for your dental health.”

David’s approach to modern dentistry and the local community has been pivotal in establishing The Dental Family Beaumaris as Bayside’s favourite dental clinic. If you want to achieve quality in a comfortable and relaxing environment with dentists who treat you like family, book an appointment with us today.

Our Team

The Dental Family Beaumaris

Dr Vincent Huynh

Dentist
Born and raised in Melbourne, Dr Vincent Hugh did his dental studies at the Gold Coast at Griffith University. He qualified as a dentist in 2016 and has a special interest in complex treatments such as wisdom teeth removal and root canals. However, he believes the key to optimal dental and general health is to maintain and prevent the need for such complex treatments if possible. This forms the foundation of our Beaumaris Dental Practice. Dr Vincent joined The Dental Family Beaumaris in October 2020 and loves working with his patients to help them take care of their oral needs and maintain optimal oral health. In his spare time, Dr Vincent enjoys playing table tennis and badminton.

Lisa

Receptionist
Lisa works as a part-time receptionist/office manager at The Dental Family Beaumaris. She has been working with Dr Delac since 2014 and is a qualified dental assistant with a Certificate IV in Health Management. Lisa has over 30 years of experience in the dental industry and has worked in various roles such as dental assisting, patient coordination, reception and practice management within a very large practice. Lisa enjoys working in our wonderful, small team because we work so well together. Our friendly family environment allows for an excellent personalised patient experience. She gains great satisfaction in helping patients with administrative and treatment queries. When not working, Lisa loves spending time with her husband and granddaughter. She also takes pleasure in riding her horse and competing at various agricultural and royal shows.

Rabea

Dental Nurse

Rabea is married with three children and works as a dental nurse at The Dental Family Beaumaris. She joined the practice in 2016 and has over 10 years of dental nursing experience. Rabea enjoys working as part of a great team and gets immense satisfaction looking after patients and making them feel comfortable. Rabea is shy by nature and prefers being behind the scenes organising things rather than front and centre at the front desk. For Rabea, one of the best things after a busy day is to relax in front of the TV with a favourite show.

Virginia

Dental Nurse
After obtaining her qualification at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, Virginia worked overseas for 10 years before returning home. She then pursued further training to upgrade her skills before joining the team at Beaumaris, where she’s remained for the last 20 years. Virginia is a full-time dental nurse, in charge of infection control standards we uphold at the practice. She feels the Beaumaris team creates a welcoming and supportive environment, and it’s rewarding to provide quality care to people, many of whom have been visiting the Beaumaris Clinic for years. Virginia looks forward to The Dental Family Beaumaris growing as a vital part of the local community.

Maria R

Receptionist

I joined ‘The Dental Family Beaumaris’ in November 2020 and really enjoy being part of this great team. My role primarily is as a part time receptionist but I do help out in the treatment room when required. You’ll usually find me at the front desk to greet you. My husband is a dentist and we worked together in our own Practice for many years. He is now retiring, but I still have the drive to keep helping patients and wanted to join a practice with the same family-orientated values I hold dear. My association with the dental profession has spanned many years, including roles as a dental assistant, receptionist and practice manager in hospital clinics and private practice. I’ve seen the practice of dentistry change dramatically over the years, and it’s been rewarding and challenging to keep myself up to date with it. As part of the team at Beaumaris I’ve really enjoyed getting to know my new dental family. I’m excited to be a part of its growth into the future! On a personal note, I enjoy supporting family at sporting events, which has led to some amazing experiences both here and internationally.

Maria V

Dental Nurse

I’m married with two children and have been a dental nurse for 32 years. I’ve worked part time at ‘The Dental Family Beaumaris’ since 2010. I’ve worked here so long because I know we practice ethical, high quality dentistry. I enjoy all aspects of my job, but the one thing that makes me get up in the morning and motivates me is the patient contact. I’m a people person and get great job satisfaction in helping people, particularly if they’re suffering with toothache and I can make a difference to their experience in the dental chair. Being Italian, I definitely enjoy a coffee… some might say I am addicted! I think my jokes are funny, although after working with Dr Delac for a long time he doesn’t necessarily agree! I love keeping fit with group fitness and cycling classes.
